When it came time to select a wedding venue, Emily and Matt took their time finding the perfect place. They knew they wanted a natural setting with unique character, a low-key vibe and inherent beauty. Once they laid eyes on Red Apple Farm in Phillipston, MA, it was love at first sight. This rustic venue offered everything on their wish list–including farmyard friends!
Guests gathered in a sun-dappled clearing surrounded by blueberry bushes and apple trees for the ceremony. Emily and her family arrived in a tractor-drawn wagon, where Matt waited by a simple wooden ceremony arch framed by pristine skies. After the “I do’s!” the party returned to the lawn where Emily surprised her groom with a vintage VW selfie booth, just like the family van from his childhood. The design continued with heartfelt touches like a “guest book” bench, silk ribbon escort tags and a performance by the Somerville Symphony Orchestra featuring Matt on the drums. Thank you to Kelly Benvenuto for the amazing photos!
