Danielle and Jeff tied the knot earlier this year in a beautiful rustic lakeshore wedding ceremony..
The day was full of incredible memories and traditions. Their photographer, Matthew Yeaton, recounts a few of his favorite moments during the day:
We loved seeing the joy in Danielle and Jeff’s eyes as they saw each other for the first time on their big day. Danielle surprised Jeff with an unopened letter that he had written to her in 2011. Jeff was serving in Afghanistan at the time when he wrote the letter. Danielle had saved it to open on their wedding day. Once we finished photographing the wedding party, it was time for the beach ceremony to begin. The minister performed a lovely ceremony that included music played on a guitar for the processional and a beautiful song sung by one of the wedding guests. My favorite part of the ceremony was the exchanging of the rings. Jeff’s father passed away when he was just eight years old. The minister announced to the wedding guests that the ring that Jeff would be wearing was the same ring that his father wore. They then did something that we had never seen at a wedding. The rings were stored in a wooden box. The box was passed around to every person in attendance so that they could touch the rings, pray over them and give them a special blessing for Danielle and Jeff. This was no ordinary wedding! The day included Yogi the Bear, a snake, sparklers and breakdancing. Okay, so Yogi the Bear was not there, but there was a giant black dog named Yogi!
