In our last post, we highlighted pastel themes and soft, homey decorations in rustic weddings. And while this is one path that you can take, having a rustic wedding in no way means that you have to forego riotous summer colors. Bright accent colors in a rustic environment, especially as part of the bride’s and groom’s attire can really make the bridal party pop and stand out from the distressed wood and earth tones of many rustic wedding venues such as Mountain House. Footwear and boutonnieres are two places that are easy to insert a little color into, as are flower arrangements. Teals, mint greens, and magentas are popular accents at the moment, but fresh sunflowers and fruit can work wonderfully in rustic weddings as well.
