Matt always loves to say that he and I met the old fashion way…on-line! I remember planning a trip with a friend to Europe after a few years of dating, but just not finding the right guy. So my focus was my trip. Then…Matt emailed me. For some reason I decided to go on one last date just 2 days before my 2 week European vacation. I’m glad I did! I remember after what he calls “the best date mankind has ever been on” (isn’t he humble) hoping we would have a 2nd after my long trip away. Then after I got back, we got sushi and never turned back.
Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be. We are simple people who enjoy small intimate settings, great seafood, and classic, beach rustic views. Quality over quantity is what Matt and I believe in. We wanted to be able to spend quality time with everyone there without it being as formal as stuffy as other weddings. The only thing that needed to be formal was my dress.
My favorite story of my wedding had to have been my sister Meredith’s maid of honor speech. Binita will recall her song and dance to the Tebbetts/Harris version of YMCA. Only my sister can capture Matt and I perfectly. Fun and entertaining with of course some love and sentiment on the side.
